Reading And Leeds 2010: Lights Talks Up Collaboration With Bring Me The Horizon
Rock Sound has a natter with Lights at Reading 2010.
The start point for the appearance of Lights on the new Bring Me The Horizon was not a phonecall or email, it was a snowstorm!
"I first met the band on tour when a blizzard in Rhode Island stranded us all in the same hotel," she recalled backstage at Reading today. "I actually used to be in a metal band, we were called Shovelface and our songs were about the most hateful things. We were awful!"
As for her appearance on the track 'Don't Go', it was another chance crossing of paths that made it all possible.
"I was in LA for a few days doing a test session with someone to see if I liked working with them. Bring Me's manager called me and invited me down as I was in town, next thing I know in recording vocals to a melody I've just heard. The finished track sounds great, so glad I did it, in a big fan of the band."
