Rage Against The MachineRage Against The Machine frontman Tom Morello has promised UK fans a free show if single 'Killing In The Name' is the Christmas Number One tomorrow. Morello recently said the following on Twitter:

"Race is close! Every man, woman, and child in the UK needs to download Killing in the Name RIGHT NOW to topple X-Factor monopoly. Yes we can. Rage vs X-Factor: TO BE DECIDED BY SATURDAY SALES Spread the word! Host downloading parties! Knock over ladies buying X-Factor! Clock is ticking."

He then updated with the following amazing piece of information:

"NEWS FLASH: RAGE ANNOUNCE THEY WILL PLAY MASSIVE FREE VICTORY GIG IN UK IF "KILLING IN THE NAME" IS NUMBER ONE XMAS SINGLE!!! Let's go!!!!"

A press release in the Rock Sound inbox this morning also had the following nugget to add to the show:

"And get this...Rage have vowed to invite 2nd Place finisher, X-Factor empressario Simon Cowell, to MC the show!"

That would be nice! But, for the show to happen Rage have to be Number One, something that might be slipping away as we type, less than an hour ago Morello added the following Tweet:

"Rumor has it that the X-factor single has pulled slightly ahead of Rage. Massive last minute effort needed. Seize the motherfucking time!!!"

You know what to do. Click here to buy 'Killing In The Name' now.
