PLANET ROCK BRINGS NEW MUSIC TO THE MASSES A new radio show goes on air tonight on the world famous Planet Rock radio station - featuring a heap of Rock Sound approved bands. ‘New Rock On Planet Rock’ begins transmission tonight and every Friday night from 10pm hosted by Liz Barnes.

“There’s so much I’m excited about playing, I think my first show could last 24 hours if they’d let me!" laughs Liz. "I’ve always been a rock 'n' roll girl, tracing the roots right back to Zeppelin and Sabbath, through punk and new wave, digesting a whole load of grunge in the early 90s and eventually managing to listen to the whole lot for a living. A big part of my life is going to shows and getting to hear stuff live. There’s nothing like being blown away by a blistering band and hopefully, I’ll be bringing plenty of that to the show each week, along with interviews, competitions and anything else I can find!”

What can listeners expect? Think new releases and bands rarely heard on Planet Rocks’s playlist – from Nine Inch Nails to Mastodon, My Chemical Romance to Black Mountain, Obits to Lacuna Coil, Black Spiders to Queens of the Stone Age. Throw in the latest Metallica a slice of The Raconteurs, a pinch of Eagles Of Death Metal, some tasty Green Day and you’ve got the picture.
Watch out for more exciting developments with the show soon!
