It might be a bank holiday, but that doesn't mean news stops. Nope, this weekend might have been about Slam Dunk but there's been a whole lot of other stuff going on. Here goes:
The week got off to a dark start with the news that Slipknot bassist Paul Gray died in a hotel room in Iowa. All at Rock Sound were extremely shocked to hear the tragic news; to read an obituary and leave your thoughts on the tragedy click here.

The mighty Twin Atlantic gave away their new single for free, Alkaline Trio, Bad Religion and a host of others were announced for the Lock Up Stage at Reading and Leeds and Canadian punk monsters Fucked Up revealed their summer plans.
Closing out one of the weirder sagas of recent times, NOFX's Fat Mike revealed the truth about his SXSW piss-in-a-bottle performance and Fightstar singer Charlie Simpson announced his unorthodox solo plans.
Hevy Festival added more bands, Flood Of Red spoke about their forthcoming new material and the week was rounded off by Slam Dunk North and South 2010.
