My Chemical Romance Become Pure Rock Band

Singer Gerard Way tells Rock Sound that the world needs a 'really straight and pure rock band'.

My Chemical Romance are in the latest issue of Rock Sound magazine as one of the 106 Bands To Blow Your Mind In 2010!

When interviewed for the piece frontman Gerard Way had this to say about the band's forthcoming new record:

"With this record we tried to ignore all the cosmetic nonsense and focus on becoming a truly great rock band. We felt that the world needed a really straight and pure rock band, you're hard pressed to find a lot of those these days. It was less about the theatricality and more about how we become the greatest young American rock band musically."
