Muse Win Grammy Award
The Brit boys walk away with the Grammy for Best Rock Album.
That's right, Muse's American popularity went up another notch last night as the band snagged the Best Rock Album award for 'The Resistance' at the Grammy Awards in LA.
After the album rocketed stateside, with singles like 'The Uprising' and 'Undisclosed Desires' becoming huge hits on the other side of the Atlantic, the band were only too happy to pick up the award.
In his acceptance speech frontman Matt Bellamy also paid tribute to his pregnant girlfriend, actress Kate Hudson. Isn't that nice?
Other UK acts nominated for awards across the various categories included Jeff Beck, La Roux, Mumford And Sons, Florence And The Machine and Sir Paul McCartney.
Iron Maiden were also honored with the award for 'Best Metal Performance' for the song 'El Dorado' from album 'The Final Frontier'.
So overall, a good turn-up for us Brits across all sections and Rock Sound wishes Muse hearty congratulations.
