LostprophetsAs predicted by Rock Sound last week, Lostprophets have announced that they will be playing at the Reading and Leeds Festival this year headlining the Radio 1 Stage on Saturday 29th August in Leeds and Sunday 30th August at Reading.

''We’ve been dying to come back to the UK and play and when we realised the timing meant we could make it to Reading & Leeds we jumped at the chance,'' vocalist Ian Watkins commented. ''It’s got the most amazing memories for us. We also thought, rather than playing on the main stage we could get in the tent and see the whites of the eyes of the fans down the front, and get their first hand reaction to the new songs. It’ll be amazing.''

Festival Republic also commented ''We are immensely thrilled to welcome Lostprophets back to Reading and Leeds Festivals in a very special up-close setting. They have always been a huge hit with fans at both sites and have performed some legendary shows. Lostprophets and shows like this are what Reading and Leeds are all about.''

Lostprophets join Fall Out Boy, AFI, Gallows, The Gaslight Anthem, The Prodigy with more to be announced for the festival bill.

Tickets to Reading and Leeds have already sold out, you can now only buy tickets from other fans through www.viagogo.co.uk
