Laurence Rene Gets On His Bike…

...and learns how to ride motocross with a Red Bull X Fighter at Silverstone as My Passion prep for their performance at Guilfest 2010!

My Passion frontman Laurence René recently spent a day in the company of Rock Sound and Red Bull learning to ride motocross bikes at Silverstone.

Why? Well it sure beats a Friday in the office; do some filing then put the kettle on or go hang out with a Red Bull X-Fighter? NO CONTEST!

We took a couple of cameras down to capture Monsieur René in action, check out the footage of his biking crash course (no pun intended honest) below:



The more observant among you will have noticed the music on the clip is actually 'Asleep In The Asylum', the first single to be taken from the band's 'Inside This Machine' album.

"It's a big bold sound, with some massive riffs and a big chorus," the singer continues. "It's been going down a storm live and the song basically tells the story of the battle with insanity as you try to overcome your past or anything for that matter. The world is basically asleep inside one huge lunatic asylum and the wake up time is our call to the world to join us and go mental, whether that turns out to be considered insanity by others then so be it, if you're insane having the time of your life and a part of something then who gives a fuck."

Quite. My Passion will also be playing the Rock Sound Cave at Guilfest this weekend and Laurence is looking forward to the experience:

"Guilfest has come up quick and this year will be the first time we have ever been to the festival," he admitted. "It's a mega line up and it's quite something being on the Rock Sound stage and main support to The King Blues, I think we share their attitude if nothing else and I'm excited to see them for the first time. I've also heard that it's quite a family based festival so we hope there will be people of all shapes, sizes and ages jumping around and losing themselves in the atmosphere, we certainly will be."
