InMe Singer Fights With Swine Flu
InMe’s frontman Dave McPherson tells Rock Sound about his brush with death!
InMe’s frontman Dave McPherson had a dice with death after contracting swine flu!
The Essex boy told Rock Sound: “It was shit! It was nasty; I was shivering and sweating horribly, I had severe chest problems and did lots of throwing up. I had severe cabin fever too after being quarantined in my bedroom. But I survived swine flu and I have got a T-shirt to prove it!”
Now back to full health, InMe will release their fourth album, ‘Herald Moth’, on August 31 via Graphite. It sees McPherson and co embrace a more technical musical approach – resulting in what Dave describes as a “darker, more metal” sound.
“The most important thing for us has been melody and the song structure has to be quite snappy but we wanted it more complex,” he explained. “Not in a progressive, let’s make each song 15 minutes long way, but to smother the actual song and the melodies and coat it in interesting stuff for us to play and really challenge us as musicians.”
The band also tours the UK in September.
