In The City Preview: Sunday October 18

Rock Sound previews the opening night of our In The City Showcase with All Forgotten, Wounds, Cars On Fire and headliners Tek-One.

Rock Sound is proud to be hosting an In The City showcase at the International Music Conference in Manchester this year.

We will be taking over the second room of Moho Live from October 18-20 for three nights of the finest new music out there. Today we are previewing the opening night, Sunday October 18, when All Forgotten, Wounds, Cars On Fire and headliners Tek-One will take to the stage for an eclectic and energetic evening of entertainment.

20.15 - 20.45 All Forgotten
What do you expect to see on the rider for the night?
"On the rider we would expect to see lots of beer, and we would also like to see Twelve drummers drumming, Eleven pipers piping, Ten lords a-leaping, Nine ladies dancing, Eight Maids a-milking, Seven Swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five Golden rings...As well as Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves and finally a partridge in a pear tree. So hopefully all the beer will get us involved with the Nine ladies dancing." (Tom Peacock, Bass)

21.05 - 21.35 Wounds
What should punters expect to see from your set?
"We're going to walk on their heads, drink their booze, dance with them,
sweat with them and maybe bleed on them a little too. Before, during and after Wounds will be partying like it's their last night on earth, we expect you to join us." (Aidan Coogan, Vocals)

21.55 - 22.25 Cars On Fire
What should fans do to prepare themselves for what they will see on the night?
"The best way to prepare is to click onto www.myspace.com/carsonfireband and get a wee musical preview of what's in store, be prepared to join in and scream/shout/singalong in the event we get too sweaty to breathe. We will be there to play our nuts off for you so make sure you are all in shape and ready to get rowdy, this is a Cars On Fire show people....it WILL be mental. Once you're at the venue - grab a pint, come down the front, bang your head and go crazy." (Ali Ross, Vocals)

22.45 - 23.15 Tek-One
What will the review of the show say in Rock Sound magazine when it hits stores next month?
"Judging by the line up I'd say the headline will be as follows: 300 Found Dead, Police Baffled!" (Howard Newman, Production)
