Gallows Album Cover Censored

'Grey Britain' deemed to graphic for public consumption so replacement artwork is unveiled for standard release.

Brit punk rockers Gallows have had their artwork for their forthcoming album ‘Grey Britain’ banned under the Obscene Publications Act.

The artwork has been created and realised by frontman Frank Carter but it’s been deemed too graphic for public consumption.

Talking to Rock Sound, bassist Stuart Gill-Ross explained:

Not the first band to have album artwork banned – think Slayer and even Jimmy Eat World – Stu quipped: “This makes Slayer look like the Teletubbies!”

A limited edition of ‘Grey Britain’ featuring an accompanying DVD will however feature the artwork in its entirety as the film enables the packaging to have an 18 certificate. The band have released the more modest normal cover which can be seen below:
