Flood Of Red Give ‘Leaving Everything Behind’ Away Free With Rock Sound
Flood Of Red and Rock Sound team up to give away the band's debut album 'Leaving Everything Behind' for free!
Earlier this year Flood Of Red were planning tours, videos and more as they worked towards the official release of their cracking debut album 'Leaving Everything Behind'. In the space of three weeks their situation went from promising to desperate as changes behind the scenes pulled the funding rug from under their feet. The band were stunned, their plans shattered.
“The five of us have been bought together by all the problems we’ve had this year.” said drummer Graham Griffiths. “There was never a time when any of us thought about doing anything other than being in Flood Of Red. We left our last exam at High School and got in the van to go play a show, since that day things have never changed for us. This is what we always wanted to do and we were determined that nothing would get in our way or stop us.”
So the band, together with Rock Sound, hatched a plan and we are very proud to announce that every copy of Issue 140 (out September 15) will come with Flood Of Red's album free!
“This is the biggest exposure we’ve ever had,” singer Jordan Spiers adds. “It’s amazing we’ve got the chance to do this. We’ve had a lot of problems to fix this year but we never gave up on making music. This is the only thing we know how to do!”

Flood Of Red have a lot of friends who have a lot of good things to say about their album.
"I grew up playing shows with these dudes, and I was so stoked when they came out with a full length. It's an incredible record and one of my favourites, I constantly have the choruses stuck in my head!"
Sam Carter, Architects
"A band that needed to be heard can finally reach out to the masses they deserve. This is album will become part of your record collection for keeps."
Ant West, Futures
"When I first heard the demo's for 'Leaving Everything Behind' I thought it was an extremely bold move for them to move away from their previous sound. This is their first album, and the fact they dared to try something different is more than admirable and something I can completely relate to. 'Leaving Everything Behind' is a somber rock record with nods to the post-rock world. It requires your time and attention, something that is lacking in a lot of records being produced by UK rock acts right now, and for that they should be commended. It's great."
Murray Macleod, The Xcerts
"With 'Leaving Everything Behind' Flood Of Red managed to achieve two things; firstly they completely upstaged their peers by creating a debut album that sparkled with song writing prowess, attention to detail and an almost overwhelming emotional pathos and secondly they proved that the general public are nothing less than a drooling pack of neon vomit seeking nitwits by overlooking this superb record. Please give this remarkable band the attention they deserve."
Tom Lacey, The Ghost of a Thousand
