Fightstar To Go Unplugged?
Fightstar frontman Charlie Simpson discusses future touring ideas with Rock Sound.
Fightstar have spoken exclusively to Rock Sound about the possibility of doing a stripped-down acoustic tour in the near future.
“We’ve been doing these acoustic shows recently, we just did one with Brigade and that was wicked fun. I’d really like to go out and just do a handful of shows acoustically and get just two or three hundred people in, sat down, and just show a whole different side of the band musically,” explained frontman Charlie Simpson.
“I love acoustic music, I love it when bands break it down. Deftones have done it a few times, Thrice have done it a lot – stripped everything back to its roots to see what the core foundation of the song was built upon. I think it’d just be really nice to do a handful of shows around the country, tiny little places like Bush Hall in Shepherd’s Bush – somewhere you can really get back to the basics of it.”
While nothing’s confirmed just yet, the band will be hitting the road next week for their biggest (fully electrified) headline tour to date, including a special Halloween in London.
“We’re making a big thing out of that. We’re trying to get kids to come dressed as vampires and stuff. We’re definitely going to be going to town on the stage, maybe dress up as skeletons and shit! We’re definitely going to pull the stops out.”
