Fall Out Boy Announce US Tour
Fall Out Boy announce a new tour and hint that it might be their last for a while.
Fall Out Boy have announced a US tour for April and May and have kicked up an internet fuss as they choose Metro Station as an opening act. As ever, bassist Pete Wentz took to the airwaves to explain the decision:
''I would like to say to those who are hating…this is Fall Out Boy paying it forward. The first time a lot of people heard about FOB was from when Allister, Punchline, Blink-182, or Less Than Jake took us on tour. I am sure a lot of their fans had a similar reaction to the new band. But honestly all of those bands had our backs and I think it gave us the chance to try and win over some new fans. In this case I have seen these bands live or had conversations with all of them. They are hungry. They are positive kids and who knows one or all of them will end up in the same spot in a couple of years. I really appreciate the chance to take them out- play to some of their fans and let them play to some of ours.''
More interestingly, Wentz hinted that the band may curtail touring after 'Believers Never Die (Part Deux)' wraps up as he said in the same post that ''this looks as if it will be the last FOB tour in the US for a while. I hope to make it a fun one.''
