Rival Schools

Rival Schools have released their new album 'Pedals' this week (read our review of it yet?) some ten years after their incredible debut 'United By Fate', and to celebrate that fact we have an exclusive stream of a freshly remixed track!

'Choose Your Adventure' has been messed and mangled by none other than Glassjaw frontman Daryl Palumbo and you can listen to his brand new reworking of the track on the player below.

Rival Schools drummer Sammy Siegler had this to say about the version:

"I've known Daryl since playing on the first Glassjaw album in 1999, I was playing with him in Head Automatica recently and we were spending a lot of time together, so I floated him this tune and let him do his thing. I really like his approach as ours is obviously more 'live', it's also in a tricky time signature, hence the name. Daryl straightened it out, there is more emphasis on the vocals, a bit more straight forward, perhaps easier to bust a move to, it's just nice to collaborate in this way. Not something we normally do, but it's a fun experiment. He sent me a first draft with him just talking shit over it recorded to his phone, it was pretty funny, he's a talented dude...Thanks DP!"
