With the name Donington being synonymous with history-making, crowd-dominating performances from rock’s elite and legendary, The Gaslight Anthem are hoping to make their mark this weekend to put them up theire in line with their idols.
“I have a DVD of AC/DC playing at Donington, and I know it’s not going to be quite like that when we play but we’re going to try and get as close as we can!” explains Brian Fallon, frontman for the New Brunswick foursome. “We’re trying to be part of a tradition – when they write The Rock ‘N’ Roll Book Of Bands 1950-2050 we’re hoping to have a little page in there. Now that people have given us the opportunity to play these places we have to prove we have the right to keep coming back.”
