Download 2011: Escape The Fate - ‘We’re Going To Prove Ourselves’

Craig Mabbitt shares his long-term Download plans...

With their debut appearance at Download this year, Escape The Fate are looking set to impress in their early afternoon slot on Saturday. Frontman Craig Mabbitt told Rock Sound:

“We’re going to go up there as if we’re playing a club show and by doing that we’re going to prove ourselves. This is a dream of mine since I was a little kid and it’s where I’m supposed to be. I’ve always known it’s in my reach and it’s a humbling feeling to know my band is playing.”

Humbled he may be, but the pint-sized frontman isn’t short of ambition (in a good way). All things going well, they hope to be back again and again (and probably again):

“I always try to look to the future and everything is a stepping-stone for me – now we’re opening the Main Stage and in a few years I look to be one of the headliners, and that would be a defining moment.”
