The first major festival of the summer creeps ever closer, and because Team RS is a lazy bunch of wasters we decided not to do our own Download 2010 preview.

Nope, we figured it'd be much easier to get all our favourite bands on the bill to write about who they're most excited about seeing (and then we went to the pub).

Good thing, then, that Glamour Of The Kill's frontman Davey Richmond is such a good sport - here's why he thinks you should check out beatdown kings As I Lay Dying at the festival.

“I’m very much excited to see As I Lay Dying. We did a tour with them in 08 and they’re one of the best live acts I’ve ever seen. They always give 100 per cent.

Watching them every night on tour, and because they’ve done it for so long with so much passion, it’s just so inspiring and makes you want to work and play harder as a band. I was kind of surprised by them playing on the third stage, but they’re playing high up so the tent is going to be rammed.

I also really want to see Lamb Of God, but I think we’re playing at the same time as them… so we’re fucked!”

Glamour Of The Kill play the Red Bull Bedroom Jam Stage on Saturday; As I Lay Dying hit the Pepsi Max Stage on Friday.
