ApocalypticaFinnish rockers Apocalyptica are gearing up for the release of their seventh album, cunningly titled ‘7th Symphony’

Cellist Eicca Toppinen told Rock Sound: “With this album, the attitude of the record reminds me of our third album ‘Cult’. It has loads of energy, a lot of anarchy, a lot of will to approach something different, to do something that nobody has made before. Especially the instrumental stuff on the record, it’s something very unique and there’s no other band you can compare it to.”

The new album was produced by Joe Barresi and features guest vocals from Gavin Rossdale (Bush), Joe Duplantier (Gojira), Lacey Mosley (Flyleaf), Brent Smith (Shinedown) and the drumming talents of Slayer sticksman Dave Lombardo.

The first single to be taken from the album will be ‘End Of Me’ (feat Rossdale) which is out on Aug 09 followed by the album on Aug 23. Catch Apocalyptica live on Saturday at Sonisphere festival.
