Against Me! Get A New Member For Euro Tour
And you might recognise the 'tached-up Franz Nicolay from his time in The Hold Steady
Against Me! have announced their ranks will be swelled by the presence of Franz Nicolay, formerly of The Hold Steady, for their upcoming dates in Europe.
A message on their MySpace reads: ""We're very happy to welcome Franz Nicolay out on the road with us! Starting with this next run of Europe dates Franz will be joining us onstage every night and lending his immense talents and presence to the band."
It's fair to say this might annoy the die-hards who still refuse to listen to anything later than 'Reinventing Axl Rose', but considering the twang of Americana present in their later work - especially on new record 'White Crosses', this seems to make sense. And considering Nicolay's a multi-instrumentalist who can wring a tune out of practically anything, it should make these live shows pretty interesting.
