Interviews: Your Demise Premier Burnt Tongues
Rock Sound has world exclusive first play of the new video from Your Demise.
Rock Sound proudly presents the new video from rising hardcore mob Your Demise, we caught up with vocalist George Noble to ask him a couple of questions about the song 'Burnt Tongues' and the video, here is what he had to say for himself:
How was the filming experience for this video?
''It was the most outrageously fun weekend ever and director Stuart Burchill was so easy to work with. Having a theatrical side to the video was something new that we haven't done before and we're glad it worked out well and it all came naturally for us. The story behind the video is that we're being tailed by a gang of five nutty looking henchmen that are trying to kidnap us or capture us for reasons unknown. It's a bit of a laugh and in all the name of harmless carnage, I think it was just a good excuse to hang around wearing suits while attracting the attention of the police to be quite honest.''
During your last video for 'The Blood Stays On The Blade' you nearly got lifted, are you trouble all the time or is it just when it comes to videos?
''We had six squad cars come out in total and at one point a police helicopter was hovering overhead as two of us were tied up, covered in blood and getting dragged out of a car, God knows what the fuck they were thinking. The last video we did the police turned up as we were packing away, this time around they arrived en masse to waste even more tax payers money. We're not usually trouble but I guess when we are something pretty stupid happens and one way or another we just get locked up in a fucking European prison.''
What is the track 'Burnt Tongues' about?
''Burnt Tongues is a weird one for me. I have to say I'm not entirely sure what I wrote it about now but it is definitely about myself. I think part of the song is about me preferring to be straight up and tell people if they're fucking me off or just cutting off ties completely with them, I'm sick of people that start little rumour fraternities, it's really fucking pathetic. I'm not trying to make myself out like some little angel cos I've been the suspect and the victim, but I just hate so many people right now and I'd much rather not so I can get on with my life a little less stressed and a bit more chilled out rather than worrying about someone or something that doesn't matter. Sorry it's not about anything interesting or owt, I'm just a fucking cynical goth.''
'Ignorance Never Dies' is out April 20th on Visible Noise. Check out 'Burnt Tongues', the first track to be taken from the album on the player below:
