Madina LakeThe 2010 World Cup begins on June 11 in South Africa with 32 teams battling it out for international football's ultimate accolade.

Rock Sound got the rolodex out and hit up members of Cavalera Conspiracy, FACT, Madina Lake, Young Guns, Textures, Parkway Drive and more to ask one simple question: can your country win the World Cup?

Check out their answers below in this global feature!

For England: Ben Joliffe, Young Guns
"Being an England fan means two things, confidence and disappointment! We are the nation of false hope. We've always had players good enough to be champions but we never turn potential into success. Maybe it's me being a typical Englishman but I actually do think our chances of winning are very good this year. Many English players have really impressed this year in the Premiership and I think we finally have some great strikers to join Rooney. With the exception of Spain I think most teams aren't quite what they were in recent years, which is good for us. But who knows, Slovenia might beat us 5-0 and we'll fire Capello and burn down some pubs!"

For the USA: Matthew Leone, Madina Lake
"To frame it in a way that we can all understand, I would say the odds of USA winning the World Cup could be equated to the odds of Palestine taking Israel on a blind date to a local sushi restaurant in Iran. Sounds far fetched but, there's a chance."

For Denmark: Daniel Malling Beck, Mimas
"Our problem is that we depend so much on Sørensen, Agger, Poulsen and Bendtner, if they play up to standard we will go to the 2nd Round. What happens from there on no one knows. Last time we lost 3-0 to England. Hopefully not again!"

For Germany: Thomas Goetz, Beatsteaks
"The German football team will be one of the best in the World Cup competition. England will win the World Cup, but it will be the German team that takes home the prize as the Team of Hearts! Every German player will receive a million Euro bonus plus a Mercedes Benz, an extra portion of Sauerkraut and a new wife."

For Ghana: Lethal Bizzle
"I think Ghana is going to win the World Cup. The final is going to be Ghana playing England. People will undersetimate Ghana cause this is only our second World Cup, but we're angry, we're starving! I feel that we're going to have the extra determination cause we have more to prove than other countries. Also we have more class players which will definitely help. So don't write us off and remember I said it, Ghana is going to win."

For Italy: Vlad, Stigma
"I admit, four years ago when the World Cup kicked off our national team was in a really bad place: the Calciopoli conspiracy, a few doubtful choices by our coach and it seemed that everyone felt we were not one of the top teams. Needless to say that the predictions were wrong! We won the World Cup and everyone here went NUTS! This time there is a similar vibe but I know that we can make the magic happen again!"

For Holland: Daniel de Jongh, Textures
"In my opinion the Dutch team could come very far. Almost all the players are playing for very big clubs and have proven themselves as most outstanding. During the European Cup they showed they can beat big countries easily, now they have grown even more as the players have matured and learned from their mistakes. Of course the euphoria of the Dutch is always grand and our deception when we lose is incredible, but this time I really do think the Dutch can make it! Brazil beware!"

For Brazil: Max Cavalera, Cavalera Conspiracy
"Like any Brazilian, football is my religion. Baptized by fire, we want every World Cup! I don't like the coach we have (Dunga) and I prefer Scolari who won the 5th World Cup, he used to be a Brasilian Policemen. That's why he was so tough with the team. Anyways, we should get through to the final, maybe Brazil vs England, with Brazil winning of course!"

For Switzerland: Renaud, Kruger
"I truly hope the Swiss team will be kicked off the competition after the first match, since that is the only way - if you shut down your tv, radio and stay alone in your cave - to have a normal life around here and pretend this whole thing doesn't even exist."

For Australia: Luke Kilpatrick, Parkway Drive
"Well Italy had to cheat in the final minutes to beat us in 2006, then they went on to win the World Cup. I think we're an underdog and could surprise a few nations this year!"

For Japan: Hiro, FACT
"Fact is, the current Japan team hasn't been good in the build up and so people here are not that hyper enthusiastic about the World Cup. But you never know what will happen, I have a slight hope that we will be lucky enough to win, lose and draw so we can get through preliminaries. Personally, I am looking forward to see Takayuki Morimoto. He is young and talented, currently playing for Catania in Italy."

For Portugal: Fernando Ribeiro, Moonspell
"Will we die on the shore again or could this year be Portugal's time to return to the golden era of 1966? Either way, at least we are in the tournament so we can prove all nations, including
ours, wrong (or maybe even right). Go Portugal!"

For Spain: Assaf Laszewicki, Anal Hard (real band name honest, please don't Google that and blame Rock Sound)
"Personally, I believe the Spanish team will be able to win the entire competition! Spain is playing great football with some of the best players in the world!! The Roja Rocks!"
