In the latest issue of Rock Sound we talk musical evolution with Trapped Under Ice, one of the four bands heading out on the Rock Sound Impericon Exposure Tour in April 212!

Click on the player above to hear the band in action and read below for a list of what inspires the quintet according to bassist Jared Carman.

Terror
"Our (older) brother band. We've been all over with them and seen both our bands grow over time. They've given us a lot of help and been great friends along the way. A lot of great friendships built inside and outside of our music with these guys. KOTF."

Mr. Chad
"Our friend Chad Gilbert (of New Found Glory fame) always loved TUI and when it came time to do 'Big Kiss Goodnight' he reached out to us about producing it. He really made time and helped us make the best record we could. He offered a lot of great advice and has a great ear. He beat our drummer Brendan pretty bad a few times in the studio too. He's great though, man."

Hardcore
"We all met through hardcore bands. It affords us opportunities to travel the world and meet people everywhere we go. There's nothing else like it. While we can play with so many different bands that's where were coming from. Without it we wouldn't be here."

The Mosh Pit
"This record was written for the pit, by the pit. We’ve been lucky enough to experience and hit the pit in all corners of the world and this record is truly a by-product of that. Pit."

Jamba Juice
"Local smoothie outfit located in sunny So. Cal. Like fiending Night Of The Living Dead crack-heads we feasted on her milk once (or twice) a day while we were recording. None sweeter. Viva la Orange Dream Machine!"

Reaper Records
"Last but not least. The hardcore juggernaut known as REAPER RECORDS. Might have heard of it. That label would do anything for this band (and they have). They have stuck by us through good and bad and probably will for as long as are a band. They helped bring us to where we are. Shout out to PK, Guav, Buske, and DJ. Reaper is TUI and TUI is Reaper."
