Features: Touring: These Arms Are Snakes
These Arms Are Snakes tell Rock Sound what to expect from an average night on tour in the UK.
These Arms Are Snakes and Russian Circles are doing a lap of the UK together, we got TAAS bassist Brian Cook to let us know what to expect from the dates:
Drinking
''We get drunk at our shows. This is inevitable, if not mandatory. Our apologies
to anyone that expects finesse and precision. We're not party boys, just sad and tragic drunks.''
Breaking
''Our singer Steve will break something. Maybe a microphone. Maybe one of my
instrument cables. Maybe a rib. Something will break. This is not a behavioral pattern that we condone.''
Fighting
''We will get in a fight, maybe with you, but probably with each other. Lack of sleep and food with an abundance of booze makes anyone testy.''
Silence
''At any show someone will make us uncomfortable. That's okay. We usually try to
make the audience a little uncomfortable when we play, but someone in the audience usually trumps us in terms of awkwardness after the set. I don't think it's ever deliberate on their part we just tend to attract a demographic of socially stunted individuals. I'm not sure what we're doing wrong.''
Headaches
''Invariably we will wake up the next morning with a bangover. And probably a
hangover too.''
