Features: Top Ten One Album Wonders
Rock Sound hails the blitzkrieg bands that came from nowhere...and promptly returned there after just one record.
They came, they rocked and they promptly disappeared. Rock Sound hails the blitzkrieg bands that came from nowhere, made a statement and then spectacularly (or silently) imploded. One album bands we salute you...

Texas Is The Reason (pictured)
Stunning band who fell apart just as it was all falling into place. Every millionaire emo dude/dudette in the business today owns this album. Solid gold fact.

Imperial Drag
Glam rock band at the height of grunge? Didn’t take a genius to see it was never going to last long.

Give Up The Ghost
Just as American Nightmare looked to break through they got sued, changed their name and then took their own advice. Big shame.

Scraps And Heart Attacks
Amp volumes up to 10, this was a hardcore band without equal. They got off the ship before it sank and bled out into other things like This Is Hell and I Am The Avalanche.

Nailbomb
A live album and a re-release does not count. They were made up of the bloke who produced At The Drive In with Sepultura's lead singer and a bunch of mates. Awesome.

Sugarcult
Let’s be honest, they have only released one record, they just keep dressing it up with new artwork and different names (meeeow – Bitchy Ed).

Lodestar
Another day, another disaster, another day, another disaster. Remember? Just us on this one?

Acceptance
With an amazing vocalist and great songs, their future as emo superstars was assured until they signed a bad major label deal and gave up after Sony BMG buried their first full-length.

Spark Lights The Friction
Bouncy post hardcore years before the competition. Possible precursors to pop punk found by Trustkill Records no less.

Boxer
The first band that Vagrant Records signed. ‘Better Days’ is still an ultimate summer jam.
