On Tuesday December 21 Rock Sound is hosting a Christmas party like no other!

The festive pageant will be taking place at the O2 Academy in Islington and will be headlined by Family Force 5, the only band on the planet suitably qualified for excessive festivity!

With Rock Sound DJs, support acts, presents and prizes for the best fancy dress outfit this is an evening of seasonal rambunction not to be missed. Why? Read below...

Reason 1: Minds Will Be Blown
"It's going to be a really fun Christmas show, unlike anything anybody has ever seen," admits FF5 drummer Crouton (known as Jacob by his mum). "It will be like putting fireworks in your mouth and lighting them! It's going to be mindblowing!" (NB: Please do not put a firework in your mouth and light it after the night to see how the two compare. It's a simile not a challenge, got it? Good. We continue...)

Reason 2: You Can Dress Up
We want people to dress in fancy dress," continues guitarist Chap Stique (Derek on his birth certificate). "I think that term is hilarious, we never heard that before the last time we were over! We thought it was an inside joke. To us fancy dress is a tuxedo and dressing fancy for your prom! We want people to come in Christmas outfits though, that would be awesome. We want Christmas trees or Ebenezer Scrooge, maybe we'll bring you onstage if you look amazing!

Reason 3: It Will Be Pretty (Tough On The Door)
"Make sure you look hot when you come to a FF5 show," adds Soul Glow Activatur (or Solomon depending on your preference). "If you don't look hot you're not coming in!"

Reason 4: Erm...
"Sugarplums will be dancing in everyone's minds when we are onstage," remarks Crouton. "We do like to have a good time and shake our badonkadonk and make the booty clap you know what I'm saying?

Reason 5: If You Are Large You Are More Than Welcome
"We want to get a guy in a Santa suit to crowdsurf at the show," admits Soul Glow Activatur. "I want to see a 400lb Santa crowdsurfing across the room! It might take a little while to start but it's definitely going to happen."

Reason 6: You Will Get More Than Just A Live Set
"The Christmas pageant is all about getting the fans involved," continues Mr Glow. "We'll be doing a play and there'll be snow and presents all over the stage!"

Reason 7: Family Force 5 Are Putting Serious Effort Into The Show
"The first time I came over to the UK I met this guy called Ray Brown who did clothes for Iron Maiden and Judas Priest back in the day," Crouton recalls. "He wanted to work with us. We wore the outfits at Sonisphere and they were amazing. For the Christmas show we've got some Charles Dickens outfits we wear."

Reason 8: Family Force 5 Are Putting SERIOUSLY Serious Effort Into The Show
I'm guessing the second we get off that plane we'll be wrapping presents and organising things," Chap Stique adds. "It'll definitely be festive. We'll try our hardest to get some cinnamon spray to make it smell like Christmas!"

Reason 9: The Band Like Marmite
"We loved doing the tourist thing when we were last in the UK, it was awesome," Stique continues. "Pointing at Big Ben and eating Marmite and fish and chips was amazing. There's so much history and it's such an honour to get to see the culture and see different things before we start the party and make people have a good time."

Reason 10: Most Importantly...It's Going To Be Festive
"We're going to do some Christmas songs," adds Crouton. "There will be some traditional songs and some Christmas jams we wrote with a FF5 twist on it."
