Stream Forever Never’s Cover Of ‘Boombastic’

On their forthcoming UK tour Forever Never will be selling an exclusive covers EP called 'I Can't Believe It's Not Metal'.

"The idea goes back to 2006 when we were on tour in the US with Stuck Mojo," frontman Renny Carroll told RS. "We ended up buying Whitesnake’s greatest hits for the van journey. Upon hearing 'Still Of The Night' again for the first time in ages I thought we could make that very heavy indeed, so when I got home I knocked up a demo of it and we ended up playing it live a few times and getting a good response! The project grew from there, we had so many potential tunes to cover - now I can’t listen to a single song without imagining it beefed up to the max!"

Amongst the songs on the EP is a cover of Shaggy's epic (zero irony) 'Boombastic' with guest vocals from Skindred's Benji Webbe. Good fun? Absolutely.

"It was fanbloodytastic working with him," Carroll continues. "I got the idea of doing Boombastic when we were on tour with Skindred back in February, and it was awesome to get to record a song with Benji, I've known him since 2002 and gone from fan, to friend, to collaborator which is pretty damn awesome! It was so much fun recording the song, we recorded it at about three in the morning, and we were just had fun with it."
