Flux Pavilion

Flux PavilionWhile Flux Pavilion (Josh Steele to his missus) might not be the first name of the lips of Rock Sound readers it appears that Steele and RS go back a long way together.

"When I was a kid, I had a huge stack of Rock Sound magazines and the door to my room was covered in snippets," he admits to us in Rock Sound Issue 154 (out Wednesday, October 12). "I used to sit in my bedroom learning Korn and System Of A Down guitar tabs with Trolley Snatcha!"

Inspired by fine journalism at a young age, Steele went on a journey that ended in dubstep production, emails from Kanye West, a degree in Music Composition for Film and a desire to synthesize the guitar world of his youth with the heavy electronics of more recent times.

"I want Flux Pavilion to evolve into something more performance based," he admits. "It could definitely be a band but I'm aiming for even bigger than that. I want a whole world to exist around the music I make."
