Interviews: Cancer Bat’s Shit List

CB vocalist Liam Cormier tells us why he wants to punch monks and hates the man as he allows Rock Sound inside his head.

The Cancer Bats are gearing up for their latest UK tour with SSS and The Plight so Rock Sound decided it was time to tap up vocalist Liam Cormier for another edition of his Shit List. Liam gladly obliged and furnished us with a list of everything that ticks him off delivered with his usual wit and enthusiasm, check it out below and get ready for some laughs...

Too Much Coffee
''We always have a coffee installment in the shit list and now that we're home from tour I have been cranking up my in take of coffee to the max. I'm staying with my girlfriend in our nation's capital, Ottawa. The one thing that this town has is a great little coffee chain know as BridgeHead. They're everywhere and they're awesome. The upside is great coffee every where I look, the down side is me drinking far too much of it. As I lay awake in bed I realise I am on my own shit list for fucking myself over with my weak will, now I cannot sleep.''

Too Much Food
''So this is another one of my body hating me right now. For the past month I've been eating pretty huge. On the RockStar Taste Of Chaos Tour it was like a cruise ship, there was non stop food. We would roll up to a big lunch buffet and then have a dinner buy out and at the end of the night the tour would buy everyone pizza so I ate like a mother fucker and now my body hates me. I'm hella lazy and I'm trying to work off two months of goo from around my waist so I don't suck it up on this headlining tour of the UK.''

Too Much Red Tape
''So I'm all excited that we get to go to cool places like the UK and Australia and New Zealand but to do all these tours by the books we gotta do all this paper work and get photos taken and sign a million things and go for appointments with Government Officials. It's all hoops we gotta jump through for the MAN and I'm sick of it. Don't they know I have coffee to drink?''

Too Little Time
What's with clocks eh? Eatin' up all the time in a day, just winding away without any regard for anyone else but themselves. I wanna punch em in the face. They're all looking down on us like "oh can't get it done in twenty four hours, don't care." Makes me wanna build a time machine and fight those monks that invented clocks. Get fucked monks.''

Too Much Going On
''It's bad enough that I have ADD but what makes it worse is that there's so much rad shit going on in the world, like all the time. Makes me want to do everything all the time and I can't. Fuck. The internet is all "hey Liam check this shit out" and I'm all "holy fuck that looks awesome" and then I'm like "Wait? I can't do everything, I can only do one thing, CURSE YOU WORLD!"
