World Cup 2010: The First Game

This was one hell of an exciting weekend. We were playing Download Festival on the Sunday so we had the start of the weekend to watch bands, party and (most of all) start shitting ourselves for the England game. There was only one TV screen in the VIP area so I was there an hour before kick-off securing my spot.

I think for my health I should stop liking football. My hands were shaking, I was sweating worse than I would when playing a show and I would be less scared if I were bungy jumping off the Burj! I think the game started off great for us, showing real hope. But unsurprisingly it went downhill when Green let that goal in. I was obviously angry but I did feel bad for him, in one second he became the most hated man in England. On the whole I think we actually played ok, I think Johnson and Gerrand were great and even Heskey wasn't crap....well not that crap. I think we'll be fine with the next two games and I think we'll top the group!!

At some point after the football we did this...
