World Cup 2010: How We Win On Sunday
Young Guns drummer Ben Jolliffe gives the England team the formula for victory against the Germans on Sunday!

Ok, after the last England game I successfully managed to bite off all my fingernails while experiencing the most fear ever! A trying ninety minutes, but nonetheless it was a happy ending.
Here are five things I think England need to change before Sunday’s game against Germany. If we do we can win...maybe!
1. We had plenty of chances throughout the game and we should have had four goals by half time. We really need to make the most of our chances as we showed signs of great football but the only thing letting us down was our finishing. I think Gerrard and Rooney had a great partnership but I think Rooney and Defoe need to work together more.
2. As Gerrard and Rooney played so well together I really feel we should play Gerrard in the central role sitting just behind Rooney and Defoe. Every time he gets the ball he creates chances and would be a much bigger threat sat behind them. He played well on the left but at the end of the day Gerrard would probably play well in goal, I think it’s wasting a massive talent, I preferred the formation we all thought we were getting, 4-3-1-2 with Milner, Barry and Lampard as the midfielders.
3. To win we need to go into the game with confidence and we didn’t have that until after the first goal against Slovenia. England seem to play better against better teams so I’m not too worried about Germany, although they won’t be easy to beat. I just hope we go into the game with some belief.
4. If we’re ahead, we can’t sit back and let them push up. Towards the end of the Slovenia game we were all in defence letting them attack, it enraged Capello and made every fan literally shit themselves. So keep composed boys!
5. Stop putting Heskey on the bloody pitch! OK he wasn’t terrible against the USA and he only had a few minutes against Slovenia but he certainly isn’t the man to win us the World Cup seeing as he’s only scored one goal in nine thousand games. Defoe seemed to have secured himself in the starting line up but I think super sub Crouchy would definitely do a better job off the bench than Heskey.
Here's to Sunday...
