The World Cup Blog: International Snoz
The Blackout drummer Snoz dusts off the photo album and takes a trip down memory lane for Rock Sound!
So in my last blog I said that I, Snoz from The Blackout, was an ex-international goalkeeper.
I wasn't lying! Photographic proof below!

During my younger days (ohhhh dear, am I that old?) I was quite a dab hand between the old sticks, or so I was told! I spent years plying my trade for the local team, Pontlottyn boys club.
I had a number of trials with professional teams such as, Norwich, Swansea City And Swindon Town! Never got a deal though, but I put that down to nerves, something which still gets me before I perform to this very day!
When I was 16, I got the chance to play for my country in a friendly in Scotland, we played at Dundee United's Tannadice park in front of 8-10 thousand people! I also played a four nations tournament in Blackpool!
To be honest I didn't have a great record for the national team; played five, won one, drew one and lost three! But I held my head high, I had to really, that's the only thing I kept hold of!
After that I played lower Welsh league football for a couple of years with my local team again, it would translate as me playing for someone like Chesterfield in England!
After that, I kind of lost the passion to play, and I think it's important to keep having passion if you want succeed! With that, I decided that it was only music for me and I set out on the path to become the next Vinnie Paul! Size wise, I'm half way there; ability wise, I think I better keep on practicing.
So there you have it. More soon!
