Hey, I'm Ben Jolliffe, I play drums in Young Guns and I'm joining Snoz as a World Cup blogger for Rock Sound.

Watching the England vs Mexico game here are the five things I think we got right tonight:

1. Winning
First of all, the obvious fact is that we won! When it comes to friendly fixtures we often play boring football that lacks goals but today I think it was a very watchable game. Although it wasn’t a walk over, we definitely had control over the game and winning this game will give a massive confidence push to the team and fans. Mexico are a decent team and it was a super important game to win for us.

2. Green And Hart
We haven’t had a strong keeper since David Seaman and it’s always been a massive problem for us. I really think they both played great tonight. Green made some crucial saves and Hart was solid. I was originally concerned about our keepers but they’re definitely impressing so far.

3. Strikers
Rooney, Crouch and Defoe impressed together. I think it’s safe to say we have two great options to accompany Rooney at the front. I think they clicked together and they were a constant threat to the Mexican defence.

4. Rotation
The fact that we made so many substitutions and still maintained the quality shows we have a great squad. With the Chelsea players not playing and with an impressive debut from Adam Johnson it was a good sign for Capello.

5. Cheating
We managed to score a goal that was not only offside but also a handball! If it was a World Cup game we would be up there with Maradona and Henry!
