So, Last Night Then…

Not just another gig in Mancunia.

Funny night last night...

Wondered off to a gig in town expecting nothing out of the ordinary, within moments of getting into Manchester City Centre I witnessed an all out gang war that may or may not have involved actual gun type weapons. This was swiftly followed by a free burrito with Me Vs Hero. In fact, had I not been queuing for the aforesaid free burrito I may have been caught in the crossfire of the aforementioned gang war...did a flour tortilla save my life? Quite possibly.

After that I went to watch You Me At Six, Me Vs Hero and Not Advised. The gig was good, made better by an irate security guard who jumped from the stage straight onto the crowd to accost and then forcefully eject a young reveller for too much stage diving. That he made this arrest after the most violent dive of the night is a quaint irony. That the kid being lobbed out was still pogoing as he was tossed out the door was wry entertainment.

The night was topped off by an encounter with Not Advised down a dark alley that ended with drummer Andy White showing me his arse.

I assure you it was all in the name of journalism, proof below

The point of this blog? None really, except to say that You Me At Six video diaries from the tour will be online next week, have a good weekend all.
