Shred Yr Face 2 Shreds Cardiff…

A crazy night was had by all

My ears are still ringing after the awesome RS-sponsored Shred Yr Face 2 whipped Cardiff’s ass on Monday. We were there spying on the action to bring you a special report in the next issue. Snapper Tom Barnes had a bit of an arduous journey arriving in the Welsh capital later than he’d planned – in fact, we’re lucky to get pictorial evidence at all, as his car blew up on the motor way, right in the middle of roadworks and, waiting for the recovery to arrive, was hit, smashing the wing mirror and windscreen.
Was great to see The Bronx again – the last time I saw them was when they took Rock Sound on an alternative tour of LA back in 2004 and treated us to sights such as the Hollywood Forever cemetery, a picture house that shows gay flicks, the Chateau Marmont Hotel (scene of Led Zep’s famous riding through a hotel on bikes) plus an encounter with a strange cracked-up-to-the-eyeballs trannie at what must be one of the wildest areas of the world, the LA River (where we also saw some meat lying on the ground and weren’t sure if it was human or animal, and had to dodge syringes…) They literally WENT OFF on Monday and I've never seen the Welsh Club so packed to the gills.
Rolo Tomassi were amazing too – and even laughed at Tom’s succession of jokes, but the star of the show has to be Fucked Up’s burly frontman Damian – off stage, he’s funny as fuck; on stage, he’s like a cross between Tony ‘Dukes Of Nothing’ Sylvester and GG Allin (minus the dirty, shit-stained thong and self-violence).
Obviously, you can read more about it in the next issue, but for now, get the fuck down to one of the remaining dates and get Shredded!
