We woke up absolutely sweating our tits off today. In one sense we have been lucky with the weather being so hot, but being stuck in a van without air-con for nine days with four other guys just as hot is not great, us Northerners aren't used to this sort of heat at all.

We got our stuff together and headed for some food before leaving for Southampton. Today, for some of us, was hazy as fuck as we'd finished the night off with some mentally strong weed I'd picked up yesterday and we were still fully stoned for the first couple of hours of the day. Good times!

The drive to Southampton went pretty fast to be fair and we arrived at the venue to find no one was actually there yet. So we killed a couple of hours in favour of watching some local cricket and starting the day's intoxication early.

Once in the venue the sound guy told us that the venues air-con had broken, which was music to our already sweaty ears. The sound guy then went on to insult Hub's new sub bass pedal which was funny as it cut Hub deep. Apparently the rule of the road is you don't fuck with a man's bass set up. Sound Man 2 Lavotchkin 0 haha.

All the bands went for a wander around Southampton for a couple of hours before heading back to the venue for 10pm in time to watch The JCQ start. All in all the show was really good and there was a surprisingly good turn out for the second night in a row. Even more to our surprise a fair few kids seemed to know our new songs which we were really stoked about as our new EP 'Widow Country' was only released about five days ago.

After the show we all spent a shit load of time all hanging out, getting in a messy state and chatting to locals. Was a really good night actually. We were staying with Alex Throats back in London tonight so we headed there arriving about 4:30am. Not long later, another day was over and so was our last show of the tour on the South coast. Massive props to everyone that did the shows so far, honestly there hasn't been a bad one yet and we've had a shit load of fun.

Keeping the van stereo alive today has been El- P, Glass and Ashes, Tears for Fears and some random dirty electro.
