Kill Hannah Tour Blog: Highs And Lows Part Two!
More highs and lows as we (Kill Hannah, if you were wondering) look back on our European tour!
Blog
Berlin Highlights
Dan (guitar): "Afternoon Pilsner in the sunshine at Alexanderplatz: amazing free meals from the white trash cafe."
Maddox (guitar): "The Cure cover/tranvestite DJ Anita Drink getting our tour manager Jack drunk with shots all night."
Greg (bass): "Love this city! Showed Garret and Maddox the sights."
Mat (vocals): "Carrot cake and white wine with Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer's traveling circus...total bohemia...getting neon feathers for my hair."
Berlin Lowlights
Dan (guitar): "Tiny backstage lounge: hearing the term "twitteratti" for the first and hopefully last time."
Maddox (guitar): "The crew having to load out gear through a maze of disco dancing Germans. Me forgetting to track down the childhood home of every member of the Scorpions and pee on their lawn."
Greg (bass): "Not enough time to explore more and almost getting killed by aggressive cyclists on the sidewalks. Also one of the worst load ins and load outs of the whole tour."
Mat (vocals): "Cycle terror from every angle…ears ringing after show."

Amsterdam Highlights
Dan (guitar): "Tulips: smoking in the back garden at Melkweg: suprise visit from our old touring friend Takumi from Bon Jovi's crew."
Maddox (guitar): "Early wake and bake sesh with Dan, Jack, and Russ the Bus, with Dan passing out on the bathroom floor. Great aftershow and nightlife."
Greg (bass): "Having fun DJing our after-party with my friend Sickboy."
Mat (vocals): "Coffee at the American Hotel (my fav)…having a beer with renowned photojournalist Cloete Breytenbach…perfect weather strolling through the streets…the fans."
Amsterdam Lowlights
Dan (guitar): " Lowlights: the bathroom at White Dolphin coffeehouse: early bus call."
Maddox (guitar): "Wasting money on a space cake that I fell asleep immediately after taking, only waking long enough to walk through customs, then going right back to sleep."
Greg (bass): "It was the day after Queens Day and it looked like an orange garbage bomb went off in the city. Also eating a space cake for breakfast and being high in my bunk in complete darkness for four hours."
Mat (vocals): "Losing my voice…NOT getting mushrooms…the fact that we had to leave."

Portsmouth Highlights
Dan (guitar): "Being back in beautiful England: my first authentic bedouin dinner."
Maddox (guitar): "Seeing all of the naval ships at port. Being a Navy brat, it really brought back childhood memories."
Greg (bass): "First show back in the UK, great crowd!"
Mat (vocals): "Earl Grey tea and carrot cake for breakfast in a tiny beachside café…seeing the hovercrafts…seeing all the families walking in the rain by the carnival."
Portsmouth Lowlights
Dan (guitar): "Beautiful England's terrible weather: seeing a fan, a young girl, go to the hospital after being headbutted by a big dude."
Maddox (guitar): "I wanted to explore the town a little more, but it was effectively shut down since it was a Sunday."
Greg (bass): "It was raining and Sunday."
Mat (vocals): "The weather made it always feel like someone was spitting on me…working all day taking steps to recover my vocal chords (eg steam, avoiding speaking, water, pills, warm-ups, etc)."

Glasgow Highlights
Dan (guitar): "Resisting, once again, the urge to buy an authentic Scottish kilt from highland outfitters: veggie chili at King Tut's."
Maddox (guitar): "Touring the city for the first time, walking through the shopping district and seeing a few record stores still open for business."
Greg (bass): "Partying at the Garage with My Passion and seeing their dance moves and love for top forty English music."
Mat (vocals): "Breaking into the Glasgow School of Art by pretending I was a student."
Glasgow Lowlights
Dan (guitar): "No wifi at Starbucks: disdainful looks when trying to spend English £s."
Maddox (guitar): "Lots of lunch meat with no bread in the dressing room."
Greg (bass): "It was a Tuesday and not much was going on after the show."
Mat (vocals): "Warm beer in plastic bottles. Dedicating “I Wanna Be A Kennedy” to Sir Sean Connery and then watching a journalist in the front row shake his head and take critical notes."

Newcastle Highlights
Dan (guitar): "Football fans going wild in the streets."
Maddox (guitar): "Realizing that I'm losing track of time and space, but concluding that I wouldn't have it any other way."
Greg (bass): "Doing radio interview with our favorite DJ Alan on Metro Radio. The crowd going absolutely mental and almost collapsing the floor of the club."
Mat (vocals): "The crowd buckling the floor, it felt like an earthquake…bringing my goth panda bear on stage."
Newcastle Lowlights
Dan (guitar): "Still trying to work out the kinks in my new guitars."
Maddox (guitar): "Realizing that I'm losing track of time and space, but concluding that I'll never be able to have it any other way."
Greg (bass): "City is kind of small and not much to see."
Mat (vocals): "Realizing that my stage clothes are starting to smell like a Guinea Pig cage...tons of beefcake jocks at The Gate after the show...couldn't find a simple quiet pub that was open past 2am."
