Yesterday was a pretty historic day. It’s not often I get all political and stuff but after chatting to Duff McKagan last night, I’ve realised how much of an impact the US getting a new president has had on your average joe in the street. Even people we’re so often used to seeing in the limelight and don’t associate with politics – like Duff, a one-time member of the ‘most dangerous band in the world’ – is moved by what has happened. This is the start of change in the world, the vision of Martin Luther King that was decades in the making. So here’s Duff’s say on the matter:

“My little girls called from LA – they’re eight and 11 and they were like, ‘Daddy! Daddy, we won!’ That’s what the youth of America feels like – like we have won. It’s very telling to me, so amazing and really great.”
