With March and April come changes to the weather and it's a time for feeling good, letting go of all the winter blues, curtailing excessive drinking and generally embracing your fellow man - rather than bashing into them when they happen to get in the way of your seething hostility!

So what better way to spend the light nights than being herded into a lovely dingy corner of a club to catch some of this months best bands? Throughout March I was lucky enough to see Errors, Alberta Cross, Mumford And Sons, Karnivool, The Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster, We Are The Fallen and Opeth in London.

And on another of my frequent pilgrimages to Brighton I caught Jumping Ships, Heels Catch Fire, The Xcerts, Telegraphs and Thedealwasforthediamond.
I also had my first taste of a vegetarian breakfast served at 4.00am, but that's an entirely different story...

Opeth at The Royal Albert Hall.

Of course being stuck in sweat filled rooms all the time is probably quite bad for the spread of viral disease, so it's important to get out and about a little bit as well. Which is why this month following gigs by Rinoa, Latitudes, Cancer Bats, Melissa Auf Der Maur and Parkway Drive - we will be approaching the beginning of festival season and a chance to connect with the splendors of nature. WHOOO! I'm so excited a little bit of wee just came out...
