Day Four: Tuesday 9th February, Middlesborough
So travelling down from Glasgow late last night we came to a grinding halt on the motorway when we were confronted by a car toeing an overturned horse box. The viscous weather obviously blew the thing over, and the horse was wandering about on the hard shoulder. Our driver asked how we could assist, and before we knew it we were all piling out the bus to try and lift the horse box back upright. So all 12 of us, some in PJ's, some just in boxers, at 4.00am in the morning, in blistering cold, began heaving the dented box back onto it's wheels. It only took about 30 seconds; I guess we're just pretty damn hench nowadays. Ha!
The venue was a picturesque theatre house where you'd expect to see a budget but brilliant version of Hamlet or something. Quite the contrary was being put on tonight though. There a lot of problems with the sound system during soundcheck and for a minute we thought we were heading for another cancelled show but luckily it all got sorted. It also meant we had a bit of time on our hands to try out some new lighting 'techniques'.

The show itself was extra rowdy; I even got a chance to see the light show in all it's glory as I spent half a song on the balcony clambering about the expensive seats.
After the house lights came on as everyone was leaving we had a spot of déja vu from Blackpool; there were chunks of plaster all over the stage that obliviously to us had fallen down from the ceiling! Out came a broom… sweep sweep, hush hush. We've really gotta stop using so much sub.
