Day One: Sunday 7th February, Glasgow Barrowlands
After the immense disappointment of yesterdays snafu I've never felt so anxious to get on stage. And what better stage to get up onto than Glasgow's' Barrowlands. Every show we've ever played here has been a stonker, the crowd is always totally up for it. Upon arrival at the venue we're presented with some gifts from a couple of girls outside. Once we get into the confinement of the dressing room we rip open the wrapping to find some well researched and perfectly apt presents! They obviously took note when I stated one of my favourite personal quick fix food choices; I get a loaf of bread, a jar of lemon curd and some peanut butter… oh yes, that's right; they definitely go.

After making his alliances with the new teen sensation very clear, Rory receives a pot of 'Twighlight' glitter so he can sparkle during the show. Chris gets a mini smarties chocolate cake that we're all very jealous of and Rob gets a mini Spanish book as he mentioned before he wanted to learn the language. Thank you guys! It's become a bit of a tradition to drink the local delicacy that is Buckfast every time we play Barras so eager beaver Rob goes straight out and down the offy to pick up a load. The show was a stormer; was good to see both Rolo Tomassi and King Blues lay down their business on stage. We almost don't make it onto stage on cue as we're all distracted, gawking at our introductory light show. Seeing it for the first time in the live situation makes us feel all tingly. It was invigorating playing the new set at last, the little sprinklings of fresh new material plucked us out of our comfort zone and really kept us on our toes.
We also made this scary photo which is apparently us forty years from now… blimey.
