Day Six: Thursday 11th February, Bournemouth
So we're all rested up after a day off that consisted of a lot of sleeping, some walks along the promenade and some bowling. Rory's cheeky spinning techniques acquired him the most strikes but Chris ended up coming out on top with his consistent above average bowling. The less said about me and Rob the better.
Everyday on this tour I've had peanut butter partnered with another filling in a sandwich. Today it was Honey. Works like a dream.
A few songs into the show I dive into the crowd, for a bit of gang vocal action which is normally a standard and fairly uneventful procedure. But after a few seconds scrambling over heads everyone collapses into a mash of entangled limbs. Normally at this point everyone on the outskirts would start picking the fallen back up but for some reason most people were just acting like zombies and just trying to rip a bit of my shirt to claim as their own. So the song stopped half way through and Chris asked the crowd if we could have our singer back. I eventually managed to haul myself out of the tirade of grabbing arms, feeling pretty much raped. Needless to say I didn't go back in that crowd after that! The younglings of Bournemouth owe me a shirt!

My voice was certainly tiring throughout the gig and I pretty much lost all high register by the end. With the all-important London show tomorrow I knew there was only one thing for it; twelve hours of vocal rest. Regardless of all the old wives tales and throat soothing techniques thrown around, the only thing that actually repairs your vocal chords is the act of not using them...fun, fun.

Rock Sound note: Remix album 'Tribalism' is out today, you should go buy a copy!
