Many of the bands I love released new albums in 2012 so for a while 2013 was looking like slim musical pickings for me, but then The Joy Formidable announced a new record and everything was good again.
A powerful trio from Wales with dirty swirling guitars, full basslines and delicious harmonies, new album 'Wolf's Law' looks set to make them heavy hitters in the UK rock scene.
With a stamp of approval from Dave Grohl which resulted in a Foo Fighters support slot the band are making waves in the US which will only build bigger over the coming 12 months, just you watch.
