www.facebook.com/wearefiction Since forming in mid 2007, Peterborough quintet We Are Fiction have been touring the UK, tearing venues apart and honing their raw, unapologetic blend of melodic post-hardcore/screamo since day one. The band have a strong passion for live music and performing live, with every show resulting in madness, ranging from dog piles, male nudity, acrobatics from 10ft speaker cabs, hanging from roof rafters and smashing ceiling titles. Their critically acclaimed self-titled debut EP was released physically and digitally on Monday 23rd November 2008. The bands dogged touring efforts and unhinged sound caught the attention of Rising Records but after a brief dalliance the band parted ways with the label making the decision to go it alone. Now with no ties, and no one to please, We Are Fiction are ready to knock each other out, get naked, puke and party hard any chance they get. 2010 saw the departure of original member Adam, to be replaced by close friend (and ex-band member from old projects) Marc Kuch. With Marc as a member, the band have progressed their sound, gaied confidence and racked up a number of shows under their belts. The start of 2011 saw the digital release of their second single, 'Sail On', gaining a massive inflation of fans and attention, followed by it's music video. The success of 'Sail On' caught attention of Kerrang! Radio, gaining the band a slot at that year's Hit the Deck festival, seeing them share the stage with such acts as Underoath, Comeback Kid and Cancer Bats.
