Thrice have announced a UK and European tour to commemorate twenty years since the release of their third studio album, ‘The Artist In The Ambulance’.
The tour will take place throughout February next year, commencing in Madrid on February 12 and concluding at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on February 26.
Thrice will be joined by Denmark’s Town Portal for their European slots and Palm Reader for their UK dates.
In February, the band shared a brand-new, re-recorded version of ‘The Artist In The Ambulance’, which featured guest vocals from the likes of Architects’ Sam Carter and Holy Fawn’s Ryan Osterman.
On the upcoming tour, Thrice vocalist Dustin Kensrue has spoken about the importance of the original 2003 album in the band’s catalogue and the buzz of playing its tracks in the upcoming tour, saying:
“The Artist in the Ambulance has played such a huge part in the history of the band. These songs have stood the test of time better than we could have known when we wrote them.
“But they’ve also subtly shifted and grown with us as we’ve played them at shows over the last 20 years, which is why it was so much fun to revisit them in the studio, and also why we are so excited to play the whole record live, especially for the first time in its entirety.”
